Temporary residence card

A temporary residence permit is the most common way to legalize a stay in Poland. The application is filed in person at the voivodeship office responsible for the place of stay, no later than the last day of legal stay.

Documents you'll need

  • A completed application and four photographs
  • A valid travel document (passport) with a copy of every page
  • Documents confirming the purpose of stay (contract, university certificate, marriage certificate)
  • Proof of health insurance
  • Documents confirming a stable source of income
  • Proof of address
